Carter, Hugo and Fergus – our 2017 Pageboys of the Year winners

After fifteen years and three beautiful sons, Penny and Ben said ‘I do’ amongst the vines. Their gorgeous sons Carter, Hugo and Fergus were their adoring pageboys. Penny tells us about their day…

‘When we sat down to plan our wedding there were three things that were important to us: good food, a great band, and a wedding that guests would remember as great fun!

Our boys, Carter, Hugo and Fergus enjoyed roaming the driveway, lawns and vineyards around our venue. This kind of event is overwhelming for the bride and groom let alone a five-, three- and one-year-old, but our boys took everything in their stride, entering the ceremony and then sitting quietly amongst family and friends as we exchanged our vows.

To have my boys lead my dad and I in, and hear Carter, our five-year-old, speak during the ceremony about ‘pairs of things that go together’ was so emotional. His confidence with the microphone was amazing and he was pretty proud of himself!

As soon as the formalities were over, the boys had a great time running round with their cousins and shaking the hands of grown-ups they hadn’t met.

It sounds like a cliché to say it was the best day of our lives, but to spend it with our gorgeous boys and our closest friends and family made for the most amazing memories and magical photos. We had the perfect celebration that was well worth the wait.’
