A wedding date in late June didn’t hinder Emily and Lachlan’s plans for an outdoor ceremony by the water, and the couple shared an elegant and personalised day with their loved ones…

We chose our nearest and dearest to celebrate with us and waited patiently for the world to ensure everyone could make it. The McCallum Residence combined our love for elegance and water perfectly and allowed for our immediate families to stay with us on site. 

We wanted a simple celebration that had elements of us sprinkled throughout. Some of these included many of our vendors being in our social circle already, our love for crosswords turning into a reception activity and my (Emily) love for dance being expressed throughout the night.

Originally planned for summer we held on to our dream of an outdoor ceremony even when the date moved to late June. We were blessed with a warm day plus a sun shower during the vows, which opened up to a soaring rainbow afterwards. 

Our day was defined with connection and laughter. Live music, continuous dancing, incredible food and mulled wine kept the winter chills away as we filled our hearts with everything we had been waiting for. Can we please do it all again?!
