Gabriel and Marina met while Gabriel was in NZ on a year-long working holiday from Brazil, and their love blossomed from that moment. The couple celebrated in a classically beautiful wedding with a touch of colour and flair…
A few years later this handsome Brazilian married Croatian-Kiwi Marina at a Catholic ceremony at the stunning and historic St Patrick’s Cathedral. Marina’s grandparents and parents had both been married there too, which was very special.
A wonderful reception followed at Allely Estate in Kumeu, starting with afternoon canapés and drinks in the courtyard, and a delicious sit down dinner in the marquee on the grounds.
With the combining of two such wonderful and vibrant cultures, it was a real celebration for all their guests. They were entertained by the Samba Passion Brazilian dancers with fabulous costumes and music bringing a bit of Carnaval to Auckland, especially as Gabriel’s family was not able to attend from Brazil due to border closures, although they sent video messages to be played for all. The atmosphere of the reception was a real party vibe, with lots of music, dancing and above all, love.
The styling of the marquee was magical and very stylish, with romantic fairylights, tall floral arrangements and elegant white and blush colour theme.
There were also the inclusion of Marina’s Croatian culture, with Croatian music on the playlist, which had everyone dancing along by the end of the night. It was a wonderful evening and no one wanted the night to end.
It was the best day and night of our lives; such a fun time celebrating our love with all our loved ones and favourite people. It was our dream wedding and our real life fairytale.
